Simon Künzler, nick-named Simi, was living in St. Gallen/Switzerland when in February 2004 he died in a tragic snowboard accident at the age of only 15.
Out of this painful loss Simon’s parents – left without children - decided to support Rwandan children without parents. His father knew Kigali and the „Village de la Paix“ from a visit to friends living and working in Rwanda for two years. Since summer 2004 he pays for the support of the the children of one of the houses, and when again in Kigali in June 2004 he promised to provide the means for the village’s community house.
Many of Simons‘ friends, their parents, the whole family and many friends and acquaintances help now to provide a better life for the children in the „Village de la Paix“. The more patrons there are the more projects can be realised!
And we are sure Simon would like it.
