Emmanuel relocated from the asylum of the nuns “Disciple de la Croix Glorieuse” to the mission of “Croix Glorieuse” in Kigali. This was in the year 1997 and at that time Emmanuel was still a baby of only 4 months. His mother had serious mental problems and therefore could not care for her child. At the time when the “Village de la Paix” had not existed, the nuns took in the child and began to bring it up. Today Emmanuel is 9 years old and an attentive student of the 2 primary class. He loves football and inline skating and is also very attached to prayers.
His mother died in 2001, his father is disabled, very poor and lives with his neighbours in Karenge in the district Rwamagana. Emmanuel dreams of becoming a taxi-driver.
