Immediate aid for orphans in Rwanda

Who organises the Village de la Paix?       The foundation of this village was done on the initiative of the layman theologist Jean Baptiste Sengayire (right picture) Like all collaborators, he is survivor of the genocide. In his quarter Gikonda on the periphery of Kigali, capital of Rwanda, he was increasingly confronted with the Aids-pandemia. Jean baptiste and Valerie offered accomodation in familiar structures to an increasing number of orphans and assured their maintenance, upbringing and education. Thereby he was and still is supported by the german society “children need peace e.V” Seven stable houses could be constructed and furnished in the year 2003. Every house is being inhabited by approximately 12 children or teenagers together with 2 or 3 “Mamans” who share their lives with the children. Valerie (right picture) is the wife of Jean Baptiste and directrice of the society “Village Pamasora a.s.b.l.” in Kigali.              Emanuel Carsisi is in charge of the finances.
